Mark Stevens teaches piano to children and is a patient and nurturing teacher, taking great delight in seeing his students progress. Using the John W. Schaum piano course, the same course he learned from when he began lessons at the age of six, Mark asks his students to practice a half hour each day with weekends off, and that one or both parents be nearby during practice time, applauding their child when they play well and, more importantly, encouraging them when they are struggling and making mistakes. The first year of lessons is crucial and with good practice habits and parental involvement, the student will make significant strides.
