Hand Surgery in Quincy, Massachusetts
When a hand condition affects your ability to work, write, cook, or simply hold the people you love, you need a surgeon who treats the hand, and only the hand and upper extremity, as their full-time specialty. Dr. John Kadzielski, MD is a board-certified orthopaedic hand surgeon who completed the Massachusetts General Hospital Hand Surgery Fellowship, giving him advanced training in even the most complex reconstructive and trauma cases.
Conditions We Treat
Surgically Our hand surgery practice covers a full range of conditions, including: – Carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve compression disorders – Trigger finger – Dupuytren’s contracture – Ganglion cysts and hand tumors – Hand and wrist fractures – Flexor and extensor tendon injuries – Thumb and finger arthritis – Mallet finger and other tendon deformities – Hand infections and traumatic injuries – Congenital hand differences
Wide Awake Hand Surgery
Many hand procedures at our practice can be performed using Wide Awake Local Anesthesia No Tourniquet (WALANT) technique, meaning you’re awake, comfortable, and able to actively move your hand during surgery, without the risks and recovery time associated with general anesthesia.
What to Expect
Every surgical plan starts with a thorough evaluation, a clear explanation of your diagnosis, and an honest conversation about your options, surgical and non-surgical. If surgery is the right path, our team walks you through pre-operative preparation, the procedure itself, and a coordinated recovery plan with our in-house hand therapy team.
